From the up-and-coming author: "[Glopades de rui]
is composed of 21 short stories that are located in a small village in the south of Catalonia. Some of the stories are related to each other, but the main character of the book is the river, which defines the lives of the inhabitants ... Sometimes it has a conspiratorial role, other times it reflects the characters' feelings,
it takes
everything away from them, but it also has a regenerative power. Through this book, I have tried to demystify childhood...It is a realistic book, but it also has some fantastic elements, which are associated with Catalan legends."

Come experience a night of the Catalan language and a wonderful new book of short stories from an incredible new author. Check out reviews of Prades's work hereherehere, and here.
